Shanghai Tang Pop up @ Duty Free several airports
We were asked to create a new concept for the Shanghai Tang pop ups and shop in shops to get more brand awareness in western markets and especially in airports. We based our concept on the ginko leaf. We used its beautiful shades of yellow and created a pattern that is inspired by its typical shape. By extruding this pattern we created an impressive yellow landscape existing out of floor tiles in sustainable material but also out of different kind of modules that vary in height and function . To create a focus point for the clothing in this landsape we combined the leaf pattern with one or more birdcages. These cages made out of a beautiful brass frame are inspired on traditional Chinese culture the spirit behind Shanghai Tang.
