Social Hub Lobby

Our collaborative efforts centred around the design of what was previously known as The Student Hotel in Vienna now rebranded as the Social Hub. As the largest hotel in the city, it held a prominent place as a social epicentre. Our primary focus was elevating the communal experience, particularly within the lobby area.

Through a meticulously curated selection of materials, our design aimed to provoke curiosity, extend a warm welcome, and challenge traditional norms, establishing this expansive venue as a cornerstone within Vienna's community. We aimed to maintain an open, diverse, playful atmosphere while carving out intimate and inviting spaces.

Spanning 819 rooms and 6,000 square meters of communal areas, our design drew abstract inspiration from Vienna's rich history. This approach informed our concept, interior design, technical details, finishes, and styling, subtly weaving elements that pay homage to the city's heritage.

In collaboration with The Social Hub's design team
